Terms of service
Last updated 11 October 2026
These terms apply when you create a ShelfWise account or use the service. By signing up you agree to them on behalf of your business.
Your account
- The person who registers a business is its owner and is responsible for who they invite and the roles they give them.
- Keep your password private. Tell us straight away at hello@shelfwise.co.ke if you think someone else has accessed your account.
- You must give accurate information and use ShelfWise only for lawful business purposes.
Your data
The records you enter belong to your business. You let us store and process them only to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy. You can export them as CSV at any time.
What ShelfWise does and does not do
- Reorder suggestions are estimates based on the levels you set and the sales you record. You decide what to order; ShelfWise never places an order for you.
- Recording a payment method on a sale (for example M-Pesa) is a note for your records. ShelfWise does not confirm that the money was received.
- ShelfWise prepares WhatsApp messages but cannot tell whether a supplier received, read or accepted them.
- Stock and profit figures are only as accurate as the records entered. Check them against your own counts.
Trials, plans and payment
- New businesses get a free trial. When it ends you can choose a paid plan; prices are shown on the pricing page in Kenya shillings.
- Each payment covers one billing period. Plans do not renew or charge you automatically.
- If a period ends without payment, your account becomes read-only after a short grace period. Your records are kept and you can still view and export them.
- Payments are processed by Paystack. Unless the law requires otherwise, payments for a period that has started are not refundable.
Service availability
We work to keep ShelfWise available and your records safe, but we cannot promise the service will never be interrupted. To the extent the law allows, ShelfWise is not liable for indirect losses such as lost sales or profit, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before the claim.
Ending your account
You can stop using ShelfWise at any time and ask us to delete your business’s data. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or put other users at risk, and will tell you why.
Changes and law
We may update these terms and will email account owners about significant changes before they apply. These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Questions: hello@shelfwise.co.ke.
